how te get here

by car : coming from either Brussels, Ghent or The Netherlands, exit 5a is the closed and fasted way to the hotel. Pilar is located on the Leopold de Waelplaats which is the square in front of the museum of fine Arts. Once arrived you can drop your luggage before parking the car.
 
Since 1 February 2017, the entire city centre of Antwerp and part of Linkeroever are a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) to ensure that air in the city becomes even cleaner. The most polluting cars are no longer welcome in the city. Always check your vehicle with the check tool before entering the LEZ on  www.slimnaarantwerpen.be/en/LEZ
by public transport : If you are arriving at Antwerp Central station you can take a taxi that will cost you €10-15 or take tram 4 or 8 to Zuid and get off at Bres or Montigny (€2 per ride). Walk around the museum where the main entrance is, to go to the hotel.

If you get of at Berchem station please take tram 4 to Hoboken and get of at Museum, which is in front of the hotel.

parking options

Since we are located in an old historic building we are unable to offer private parking. However there are many options.
You can park your car for free on the square between the Vlaamse and Waalse kaai, located 50 meters from the hotel. This square is called 'gedempte zuiderdokken' and is a public square owned by the city. In case of local events the square is closed and the hotel cannot be reliable for any inconvenience. The city is working on new parking facilities undergound.
You can also park it in the streets around the hotel. Please check the parking pillars in the streets. There is one located in frot of the hotel entrance.. Payable from Monday to Saturday from 9am till 10pm.
The nearest secured car park is located next to the new court house, 400m from the hotel at Gentplaats 1. Prices goes form €1.80 per hour to €16.00 per day.

location
